On behalf of Barone Engineering Associates, L.L.C., it is our pleasure to provide you with our qualifications, experience and services we offer.
The firm was founded by Vincent J. Barone, PE in 1978. The firm is represented by Steve Lummer, Jeffrey Sartorio, PE and Eric Krapohl, PE. As consulting engineers in private practice, they are responsible for the design of mechanical, plumbing, electrical and fire protection systems for various commercial, mixed use, retail, medical, and industrial buildings.
The firm’s expertise includes contract engineering services for the construction of institutional buildings, sports stadiums, post offices, corporate office buildings, industrial buildings, refrigerated buildings, shopping centers, churches, hospitals, medical office building, low-rise and hi-rise apartment buildings, pharmaceutical facilities, computer rooms, clean rooms, car dealerships, etc.
The firm is presently on retainer to a number of major contractors, building owners, and developers for design, renovation, retrofitting and engineering assistance. The bulk of the firm's business has been with a series of developers and architects to whom engineering services are provided on a regular basis.
We are LEED accredited, with a specialty in Building Design & Construction (BD+C) and have worked on several mixed-use buildings that are registered for LEED certification.
Our firm is licensed in the states of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.

Barone Engineering Associates was formally established, becoming the source for the design and integration of complex building systems for commercial, residential, and institutional projects, with Vincent Barone as the managing partner, Jeffrey J. Sartorio, P.E. as Partner & Chief Electrical Engineer and Steven Lummer as Partner & Chief Mechanical Engineer.

Eric Krapohl P.E. joined Barone Engineering Associates.
- 2009
Barone Engineering Associates became LEED Accredited, recognizing the firm for its efforts in sustainable design practices.
- 2014
Barone Engineering Associates continues its legacy of exceptional building system design and integration with the retirement of the company’s founder Vincent J Barone. Steven Lummer moved to the Managing Partner & Chief Mechanical Engineer position, Jeffrey J. Sartorio, P.E. remaining a Partner & Chief Electrical Engineer and Eric Krapohl P.E. advancing to Partner, ushering in a new era of leadership.
